Week 1

Development focus: Basic ball handling

Week 2

Development focus: Intro to dribbling development and defense

Method: Cones and agility ladders

Week 3

Development focus: Ball handling, dribbling and defensive skills and intro to proper shooting technique

Method: Agility ladders for foot coordination

Week 4

Development focus: Continuation of weeks 1-3 and intro to advanced footwork

Method:  Cones, agility ladders, and resistance bands

Week 5

Development focus: Incorporate skills learned in weeks 1-4 

Method: Small game scenarios

Week 6

Development focus: Communication skills used in a live game setting 

Week 7

Development focus: Incorporating skills learned in weeks 1-6 and continued development of understanding the rules of basketball
